Westside

Exactly. This is West Ham.

The same club that spent 180m last summer and sit just above relegation.

We have no guarantees/assurances Rice money will be well spent. We average a good transfer window in every 5/6.

Personally, I would not sell.

What, wait till his contract expires and let him leave on free transfer?

Great idea.

Re: pRICEless
No defensive midfielder is irreplaceable but we'll find it hard to attract that calibre of replacement if Moyes is in charge and we're not in europe next season.

Rice certainly turns up for the games in the spotlight eventually - he was as bad as anyone in the first half but completely changed in the second and that goal was unbelievable last night, the little jink, the finish, quality. Just stuck another 10m on his price tag there. No chance he stays of course, he's desperate to get out for all the lovely lolly and unearned trophies. Could have been a legend here, now will just be another good player that passed through. It's a shame the mindset of young players now.

Trundle

I think the chance of him signing a new deal is zero but, if the club told him he was not going anywhere I dont think he would down tools either.

Sulli has probably already budgeted the sale of Rice into next season transfer budget and when one of your only scouts is the managers son we have every chance of using half of that on Jordan Hugill mk II

Re: pRICEless
LT - Yea I think there is, not convinced he wants to go now, and apart from Man City the other big clubs all have problems, except for Arsenal, but this may be a bit of a one off season for them.

I rate Neville as a pundit, but to say Rice is worth 50 mil is an insult, when his club have paid more than that for clowns!

I wonder if there's any chance of him changing his mind if we get MEGA MONEY owners in the summer?

Re: pRICEless
He has been very impressive over the last month it has to be said, looks a real all round player. Moyes made a good point after last night saying being an England regular and playing with those top players has helped his confidence, said he sees an improvement in him every time he comes back from an international break.

As for will he, won't, where will he go, and for how much has absolutely been done to death and there won't be anything new to come out of this thread either. Agree he will be irreplaceable though, if he does leave.
